Feasibility - Craigiebuckler House Extension

Posted on May 13, 2020

Albyn Architects recently completed this Feasibility study, looking into the potential of doubling the footprint of the existing house and creating a stunning entertaining space.

Working closely with the client to develop a project brief, we designed an impressive double height living space, taking advantage of the south facing orientation, with feature windows overlooking the large garden.

On the 1st floor, a stunning master suite provides the luxury of a large En-Suite and Dressing Room. The gallery overlooks the living space and provides the ideal space for a home office - a new must-have in the current climate

What is a Feasibility Study?

A Feasibility Study is typically the first stage of any new project. This allows the client and architect to work together to investigate possible design and layout options. 3D visualisations are produced to demonstrate the proposed designs, and provide the opportunity to look at different materials and finishes.

Once a layout and design has been approved by the client, Albyn Architects obtain a cost estimation for the proposals, provided by a local building contractor. This enables us to provide Project Budget Costs, including professional fees, local authority application fees and any other expected costs.
